Safety Tips for Common Power Tools

Portable electric power tools are just what their name means, power tools. Because they're powerful workers require to be aware of their limitations and potential hazards.Use and preserve tools with care. Conform to the manufacturer's operating instructions for lubing and shifting tool accessories.
Use the right tool for the task. It overextends the tool and overloads the motor. Keep guards in place and stick to lockout/tagout processes.
If the tool is armed with a three-prong plug, it should be inserted into a three-hold electrical receptacle. Never get rid of the third prong.
Maintain the electric cord in sound condition. Keep it out from heat, oil, and sharp edges. Never hold a tool by its cord, or yank the cord to unplug it from a receptacle and do not carry a plug-in tool with your finger on the flip-flop. Describe any abnormal or broken plugs and insulation on cords.
Power tools are mandatory for pros and those who undertake DIY home improvement tasks. They are adored as they assist the tool users to minimize over all time & they also make the job simpler. Nonetheless, you need to take extra safety while using them otherwise you may get hurt.
-First thing first, you need to read any written material that has come with your power tool before you start work. This step is crucial if this is your first time.
-Do not use incompatible power tools. Do not try deal with tools that are not the right type to perform the task.
-If you finsih using a power tool switch it off from main socket to avoid accidental activation.
-If using a drill with a chuck key always take off the key from the chuck.
-To avoid shuttering of the material you are working on, you need to use the proper size and type of cutting disk when using cutting power tool.
-Put on safety gears before you start any work.
-It's a very important safety rule of thumbs to keep others informed about your work and which areas are off limits.
-Check the condition of any cables, extension leads, plugs and sockets ahead of beginning work.
-The material you are cutting, drilling of grinding, etc should not be over or need the power supply cables of your power tools.
-Avoid using electrical power tools if you suspect that the area is wet or may get wet due to your actions
-It's possible that when you change settings of a tool, it may slip away from your hands and start accidently, so it's best if you disconnect power before you do any setting alteration.
-Never lift a power tool using its cable.
-Keep children away from all tools.
-Avoid any flammable or combustible materials, liquids if you are using a tool that creates sparks or hot spot.
-The work area should have sufficient light and should be adequately clean with no unnecessary mess around.
-Please don't change or modify any safety stuffs included in your power tools even if they make you discomfortable while working. They come in handy during unexpected situations
-Please pay attention to one set of task at one time. Such as don't get bothered about alignment while drilling or cutting. Mark, clamp and drill and only focus on the drilling part of the work for that moment. This will improve your safety margin by keeping you focused.
-Always be in a good mood and focused while working. If you think you are losing it, then take a break and come back to it later.
