Electrical Safety Assessments

An on-site electrical safety assessment performed by electrical safety experts will provide you with a comprehensive written report of findings and recommendations for corrective action.
This electrical safety assessment will assist you in complying with OSHA, NFPA, NEC® and other state and industry electrical safety requirements.
Use a systematic approach which includes:
*performing an in-depth survey of your electrical facilities and installations
*reviewing your training of qualified and unqualified workers
*reviewing your electrical safe-work practices and related policies
*creating a comprehensive report that identifies areas requiring attention to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards
*analyzing the areas that require attention
*providing recommendations for a safe, cost-effective solution

Electrical safety experts will provide you with a comprehensive assessment that will reference the following:
# 29 CFR 1910.331–.335, “Electrical Safety-Related Work Practices” or State Plan equivalent regulations.
# 29 CFR 1910.269, “Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution” or State Plan equivalent regulations.
# Federal and State OSHA
# National Electrical Code® - NEC
# NFPA 70E “Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace”
# National Electrical Safety Code - NESC
# 29 CFR 1910 Subpart I “Personal Protective Equipment” or equivalent State Plan regulations.
# ASTM 10.03 Electrical Insulation and Electronics requirements associated with PPE.
# 29 CFR 1910.147 “Control of Hazardous Energy Source (Lockout/Tagout)” or equivalent State Plan regulations.
# 29 CFR 1910.333(b) “Working On or Near Exposed De-Energized Parts” or equivalent State Plan regulations.
# 29 CFR 1910.269(d) “Hazardous Energy Control (Lockout/Tagout) Procedures” or equivalent State Plan regulations.
# 29 CFR 1910.369(m) “De-Energizing Lines and Equipment for Employee Protection” or equivalent State Plan regulations.
# 29 CFR 1910.132 "Personal Protective Equipment" or equivalent State Plan regulations.
# IEEE Standard 1584 “Guide for Performing Arc-Flash Hazard Calculations” or equivalent State Plan regulations.

Upon completion, a comprehensive report is prepared to identify areas needing attention to ensure "compliance" with applicable regulations and standards. These areas are analyzed and recommendations are made to provide a safe, cost-conscious, doable solution.
