second and third degree burn to right hand

This is my son, Jonathan's, hand one week after he received the 4% burn to his body. He was in a fire at his home, where his cooking stove caught on fire. It was an electrical fire. The stove was not in use at the time. He received this burn while trying to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. He had to go to the Vanderbilt Burn Center, where he still receives outpatient care. The first two weeks, he was required to change his dressings twice daily using Silvadene Cream and and occlusive dressing. The third week, he was required to dress his hand once a day with Xeroform, Bacitracin Ointment, and an occlusive dressing. By the fourth week, he was ready for his compression glove in which he has to wear 23 hours of the day, everyday. He is to go back to Vanderbilt to receive his true fitting compression glove and get a scar check. During his visits at Vanderbilt, he received occupational therapy to prevent contractures and to regain the mobility in his hand.
